Ok, I confess. My favorites when I was kid were "Lost in Space," and "The Partridge Family." I also watched "Zoom" and "The Electric Co." and even "The Brady Bunch." I also used to watch all those awful Saturday morning cartoons-"The Jackson 5," "The Brady Kids," and several others that I have (thankfully) forgotten. I also watched this cartoon called "Winky Dink and Me." Does anyone remember that one?

I saw an old episode of "The Electric Company" and I didn't realize that Morgan Freeman was on there. I knew about Bill Cosby and Rita Marino. I also learned that Tom Leher did the songs "L-Y" and "Silent E." There really was a lot of talent on that show.  I also used to watch "Schoolhouse Rock."

Remembering "Romper Room" from my childhood, and comparing it to "Teletubbies", I'd have to agree that "Romper Room" is/was much better. It was much more real, and I think today's toddlers would enjoy it, and definately stomach it better. Who knows how many local Miss Soandsos there were all over the country. In my area - on WCYB, Ch.5, Bristol, Va. - it was Miss Ann. I had a "trade-tape" of the syndicated "Romper Room and Friends" a couple of years ago. It brought back a memory with "Simon in the Land of Chalk Drawings", but outside of that it just wasn't the same.
I also saw the old NBC Peacock during my headstart days, and it scared me. When I went to the 1st grade, they stopped showing it. Even now, when they show it on TV or I see or hear it online, it still sends chills.
I also remember watching "Shazam", "Isis", the last year of "Land of the Lost", "Fa-bu-t Al-bu-ber-bu-t", and my favorite Saturday morning show, "Space Academy" (Why, oh WHY did this only last 1 year?)

Crystal Tips and Alistair
Mary, Mungo and Midge

Pogle's Wood
and Tales from the Riverbank (but that's another story...)

Skip Hinnant, who played Fargo North Decoder, was the voice of Fritz in "Fritz The Cat". I've seen Judy Grubart (Jennifer Of The Jungle) in commercials for soap and peanut butter. Supposedly Irene Cara was on "The Electric Company" as a member of The Short Circus, but I've never seen her on there.

I think I watched just about EVERYTHING that was on t.v. in the late 60s early 70s. I was very addicted to television. I had a teacher who told me she didn't have a t.v. and I was shocked. I couldn't understand how she could live without one. I wanted to go out and buy her one. Of course, it never hit me that she may not have WANTED one.

( I Loved Bill Bixby), Family Affair, Captain Kangaroo, The Rookies, S.W.A.T. , McMillan and Wife, Kolchak and the Nightstalker, Night Gallery, Kojak, Brady Bunch, Sonny and Cher, Donnie and Marie, Partridge Family,  Emergency! (I loved Randolph Mantooth), Dragnet, Hawaii Five-O, Kung Fu, The Wonderful World of Disney. Midnight Special,
Later I loved  Charlie's Angels, Starsky and Hutch, Baretta, Love Boat, Laverne and Shirley, Happy Days, The Hardy Boys Mysteries, Bionic Woman, Six Million Dollar Man, Saturday Night Live, Horror Incorporated, SCTV.
They sure don't make TV like they used to.....

I thought of some  others: Born Free.. ( I even named our dog, Elsa), and Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.. Loved that show...and Tony Orlando and Dawn and Carol Burnett Show.. she was the greatest. I wish she was still on... Eight Is Enough, Welcome Back Kotter... I know these aren't in chronological order.. but I remembered them randomly... and was fond of them so had to mention them.... Columbo, McCloud, Iron Sides, Rockford Files.. I think I missed my calling.. I should have been a detective.. I was watching those Cop/P.I. shows from the moment I could walk.... I was definitely raised on 70's TV.. Funny thing is... Now I hardly ever watch TV.
