looking for info related to A. Smile jeans/overalls---unsure if it was a CA company or just a west coast trend. Interested in the overalls---Thin cotton, close to linen in appearance, many colors, usually pastel---purple most common. no hooks---criss-crossing ties in back---ring a bell? Pants came in similiar colors---female, tapered leg---is this company still in production,...maybe under a different name? Would be curious to know.

I had a couple pairs of A Smile pants when I was a kid back in the 80s. Didn't they have a picture of an ice cream cone on the back pocket?

Close, but no. I grew up in Wenatchee, Wa.

I graduated highschool in 1990 in Spokane, Wa. My family moved there in my freshman year. As for A Smiles, I've never seen the jeans version but I remember the colored pants. If I'm remembering right, my first pair were purple and my mom bought them at a store called Two Swabbies. My second pair were red or maroon, and I bought them on a trip to Portland, Or. at a store called Emporium.

Thanks Tiki, I new a girl I grew up with in the 80s and her family called her Tiki. Wenatchee is beautiful though, I live in Seattle and travel throught there a couple of times a year.

I was thrift store shopping today and found a pair of A. Smiles at goodwill- they even come pretty close to fitting me! I graduated in 1993 and I remember wearing these when I was a kid, so I bought them for nostalgia. As soon as I saw the ice cream cone label I was transported to first grade! I've looked everywhere on the internet for information about this company and the only thing I found what is on this message board. The thrift store was in Bremerton, WA.
