Subject: THANK YOU, JONMAN!! and now ...

Written By: N. Kimble on 01/19/03 at 09:49 p.m.

I have one more question!

... but first, I really, really appreciate very much your response about the Hourglass Song from "Jeremy".  I have played this song in my mind for about 25 years and didn't know it's name or any other info!  My 25 year search finally came to an end.  Your memory is truly fantastic!  Wow!

I would appreciate if you could take a look at the part of another song from the 70s (or 80s ?????):

".... I hear the music from afar ...."

the word "afar" is stretched out like "afaaaaar".

It sounds somewhat like Seals and Croft or something similar (??????).

A-N-Y clue, info, even ***guess*** would be very welcome!

Thanks again for your help!!!

p.s. you were right.  Nobody (Amazon, etc.) sells the Hourglass song.  Like it got buried or something!

You are VERY welcome...

Now, as for your second request....all I can say is that it sounds familiar...at first I thought maybe "When You Walk In The Room" by Jackie deShannon but that's not it...the only song I can think of with a lyric similar is the Christmas song "Mary's Boy Child" which contains the line "The music came from afar"...I'm sure that's not it.

I will keep searching my brain and if I think of anything I'll let ya know. Have you tried Google?
