:DCan anyone think of any outrageous thing a DJ may or may not have said during the 50s or 60s?I can think of one:DJ:"...and just before that you heard "Ebony eyes"by the Everly Brothers, and that goes out to our US Figure Skating Team".Anyone else?Cheers! ;DThat would be a dj in 1961.

Am I missing something? I don't get it. ???

We had a moring drive time DJ in Va. Beach (Henry "The Bull" Del Toro) that got a girl on the phone one morning on the premis of a contest of some kind (I don't remember what the deal was ??? ::)). Any way he told her "Take the phone and tap your left cheek, now your right. OK tap your left arm........now your right. Now tap your left thigh........now your right..........We all know what "Cindy's" in to this morning"!!......and then he went right in to AC/DC's "Beatin' Around The Bush." ::) Oh well..........guess you had to be there.

Well it wasn't in the 50s or 60s but the early 80s. I used to frequent a late night club / drinking hole called the "Aristocrat Nite Spot" but some letters fell off the sign so it was generally known as the "Arstocra Nit Spo". The DJ there went by the name of Dash Riprock and, inbetween the sound of drunks falling off their bar stools, he used to interrupt the records to shout down the mike "Can you stop dancing on the floor please, it's bouncing and you're scratching my records!". He's the only DJ I ever knew who spent his time encouraging people OFF the dancefloor.
