Subject: Ballroom Blitz Question
l am dying to know, Who originally sang "Ballroom Blitz". I have heard it was either Krokus or The Sweet, but no one knows for sure. If anyone knows, I would appreciate it. Well, at least I would sleep easier. Thanks a bunch

It was most definitely The Sweet - a hit for them in 1975 :D

The album is called "Desolation Boulevard" and for it, they dropped the "The" from their name and were just known as Sweet.
An absolutely FABULOUS album!!

egad ! I just had a bad bad BAD flashback to 1984 when I snuck into a pub to see the Sweet.
It was during that bad bad BAD comeback year when they wore make up.
It wasnt makeup like Kiss wore. It was like a pack of 10 year old boys found their mums make up kit and just smeared it all on any ole how. Serious heavy rouge, caked on blue/purple eyeshadow - the works.
I was so enamoured with them ! I was kicked out of the pub for being 15 or 16. So I went round to the back door to listen from there - and the band came out on their break and they snuck me back into the pub for the second set !!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh thems were the dayzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
