You're right. In fact, "The Lion King", while a great film, was a ripoff of "Kimba". The book "Disney: The Mouse Betrayed" by Peter & Rochelle Schweizer contains a whole chapter about it. On pages 166-167 there is a comparison of scenes from "Kimba" and "The Lion King", pointing out the...similarities.

i think that your thinking of "flipper"

but i do remember kimba,i used to watch it all the time,and i do remember a little bit of the theme song, it goes something like this: "whos the fastest animal in africa(africa) .......kimba the white lion is the one"
