umm well, it was like a lot of slats with joints. At one end you traced pictures with a pointer. At the other end you inserted a pencil.

Lo and behold! The tiny tracing was turned into a big picture!

All my friends and I had these, but we cannot remember the name. Any help?

I was thinking of Spirograph but I don't think that is it.

no, spirograph was a complicated series of small wheels with spokes that you put inside each other and drew ellipses & stuff like that

very pretty...and widely available on ebay!

thanks for the attempt though. someone, somewhere will remember.....possibly my mum!

they reckon its called a pantograph, but I'm sure there was a commercial name for it too...
