Subject: children's horror serial?

Written By: karen (Guest) on 07/09/03 at 08:00 a.m.

Does anyone remember the name of this programme?

It was set in Avebury in England, a place famous for having lots of stone circles.  In the series people from the village were prevented from leaving by the stones which moved into the middle of the road.  My brother also mentioned something about one coming out of a chimney.  I also dimly recall people getting 'shocks' from the stones.

Please help me if you can remember this.  I can then convince some friends I didn't just dream it!

my turn to help - it was called Children of The Stones.

My girlfriend also had a million non-believers, and when she met me it was instant love...I had the book! (Still do).

It was very scary at the time...I guess less so now.

I bought the video and watched the first two episodes last night.  It's still scary as heck!  Not the thing to watch just before bedtime!

Now I know why I remember so little of it.  I probably spent most of the time peeping between my fingers or possibly hiding behind the sofa.  Maybe in the other room even to get away from the music!

The "evil witch" in it was really sexy. That was the only reason I watched it!

Are you thinking of the right programme?  I haven't seen a sexy evil witch yet, having watched three episodes now.  (I decided that daytime viewing was the way to go lol).

Are you thinking of the curator at the museum?  Longish red hair?

Actually, you're right, I'm thinking of a different program. I think the one I have in mind was called something like "Enter The Labyrinth"?

I do remember Children Of The Stones though...
