Subject: Battle of the Network Stars!

I was flipping through some sattelite channels at my folks beach place this weekend and came across a replay of "Battle of the Network Stars" from about 1979.  This was athletic competitions between ABC, CBS, and NBC TV stars.  I saw them as a kid and they were kinda fun.  The funny thing is as I was watching the program this weekend I remembered every one of the participants. Greg Evigan, Sarah Purcell, Robert Conrad, Kristy MacNichol, and a young Billy Christal was there too.
To bad that there is no current version, financail liabiltiy probably priohibits it.

I remember those. There was one where Robert Conrad was  mimicking a commercial he was doing at the time (he had some battery placed on his shoulder and would say, "Go ahead, I dare you") and he placed the NBC logo on his shoulder and said, "Go ahead, I dare you." Lou Ferringo who played the Hulk (on CBS) flicked it off of his shoulder. Robert Conrad looked at him for a second and then said something, "Ok, I buy that." and then ran away. lol

I caught that last week. It was on every night from different years. Linda Carter, aka "Wonderwoman" was in her wet swimsuit in the swimming relay and man! :o That's what I call a wonderwoman. ;D

I used to watch that show too (Battle of the Network Stars and Wonder Woman  ;) ) as a little kid.  Both were a hell of a lot more interesting to watch than the "reality" crap on these daze.  :P

Oh yeah.. I loved the Battle of The Network Stars.. I always rooted For ABC because you had all my favorites, Scott Baio, Farrah Fawcett, Kristy McNichol, Parker Stevenson.  I never missed an episode.
