Subject: cop who loved hiis gun

Written By: Bozette on 08/08/03 at 10:10 p.m.

The guys at work are trying to remember the name of an actor on a 70's tv show.  It's not one I remember seeing but what they tell me is the guy played the role of a cop who loved his gun.  Slept with it under his pillow.  His fondness for his gun was a bit of a big deal on the show.  It was a shiny gun... they think a 44 magnum.  Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?  They've got me curious.
Thanks
Bobbie

It's 80s, not 70s, but the comedy "Hammer" was about a detective who had a fondness for his .44 Magnum.  It was pretty much a parody of the Dirty Harry movies, "Hunter", etc.
