Any Styx fans out there? My favorite album of theirs is Pieces of Eight. I love the entire album. I also love the Grand Illusion and Paradise Theatre. I also like the song Mr. Roboto.

I have the laser-etched vinyl version of "Paradise Theater". I think I've listened to it once.

Rock on!  I'm a STYX fan too, they're totally awesome!  Too Much Time on My Hands is like my theme song.

I love Styx!  Favorite songs include "Mr. Roboto", "Too Much Time On My Hands", "Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)" and others.  "Come Sail Away" is a beautiful song.  I have Styx's Greatest Hits (the same one as in Wicked's avatar).

I have that too. That may actually become a collector's item if it is not already.

I believe it is. There was only two albums ever made that were laser etched, "Paradise Theater" and "True Colours" by Split Enz. I have them both.

My theme song is "I'm OK" off of the Pieces of Eight album. I also love "Castle Walls" off of the Grand Illusion album. The way I have to listen that song is just crank up the volume, and just listen to it without doing anything else-just really getting into the song.

Last year I went to a 5 hour concert to benefit 9/11 victims. Styx was one of the performers. They were awesome! My favorite song is "Babe" of course. Ok shoot me but I'm just a hopeless romantic! hehe! ;D

It finally hit me what I can't stomach the song "Babe." In high school, I was in a talent show. There was a group that performed "Babe" and did an AWFUL job of it. I guess it just ruined that song for me. (Used to like it before that)

I saw them a few months back...in Denver...they were GREAT! The new guy that replaced "Fluff-Boy" Dennis DeYoung, did as good as him and also sang "Babe" :D

Domo Arigato for finally making a Styx thread. Styx & BadCo in 2001 was my very first concert. They are a killer live band! I have too many favorites to list by them. I've got their 1995 Greatest Hits CD, Arch Allies Live w/REO Speedwagon, and their latest album, Cyclorama. I might get slammed for this, but I think Lawrence Gowan is a better keyboardist than DeYoung. Tommy Shaw is the best Stygian of them all! His death will mark the permanent end of Styx. Once he dies, there shall never be any further reunions or reformations. Tommy Shae IS Styx. Styx IS Tommy Shaw.

I saw Styx in January (?) 2002 in Calgary, Alberta.  My initial reaction to hearing Gowan being the vocalist I thought it was weird, until I listened to his voice and realized it was probably the closest match possible.  Either way, I also like Gowan's early 80's stuff so I knew I was getting two shows for the price of one  :D.

Great concert!  Front row, just right of center.  Got guitar picks galore... had to punch out the bast@rd who tried to steal the towel tossed to my wife by the guitarist.  >:(

Sass Jordan opened for them... which wasn't too bad.

I had the poster that came with the Grand Illusion hanging on my wall as a teen. I would just stare at Tommy Shaw. The others were ok in terms of looks but it was Tommy Shaw who I liked. Still have that poster somewhere but it is in a box somewhere instead of hanging on the wall.
