I remember these well....wooden shoes and sometimes plastic....cute heels and ankle straps.  Anyone recall?

Yeah... they were the most uncomfortable shoes on the planet.  Thanks to "Sex In The City", they are making quite a comeback.

Yep, they are making quite the comeback. I actually have a few pairs already, and I love them (just can't hike in them!)

Uncomfortable is not the word.  I had this pair of pink plastic 'jellies" with a but out flower that KILLED MY FEET....and my wooden heel shoes were white strapped and hurt like HELL.

I had the slides w/ simulated wood-but-actually-plastic soles & heels.  The lone strap was stapled onto the soles.  In retrospect, kinda cheap lookin', LOL.   :D

They're only uncomfortable if you plan on walking.

I think I have those shoes---is the strap clear with multi-coloured flowers?

Good heavens, BooBerry!  I tossed 'em out circa 1983, but I'm pretty sure they were red leather w/ cut-outs.

The pink ones I had were plastic, little flats.  They had a flower cut out at the base of the toes, and they hurt so much!!!

Then the flower cut out tore, so I stopped wearing them at last.  This does not include my white wooden heel shoes though.
