Excellent album, I think it was their best.  "This Song Is Over" is a great song, but I bought the album primarily for "Baba O'Reily" and "Won't Get Fooled Again."

Thanks, very cool photo of the album, wonder if the record is available digitally remastered.  I have the cd but believe it  sounds just like the original vinyl. I also just bought a James Taylor cd, original album from 1969, and the remastered sound is magnificient - never heard the beauty of the string arrangements and background vocals as clear when I listened in the 70s as they are on the cd!

I hear Baba O'Reily and it takes me back to another place and another time. I can just picture Pete Townsand on the guitar. I saw the movie "The Kids are Alright" and someone asked him where did he learn to play the guitar that way. His answer: "Bowling." So, I have to play my "air guitar" the way he played it whenever I listen to that song.  ;D

All of a sudden I'm back in high school...nothing like a bit of the Who (Kids are Alright on RCA Video disk) to get you tuned up for a party.  Have Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy on my desk as I type.  I Can't Explain or Who Are You does it for me.

Ive probably been a Who fan for almost as long as I can remember.  IMO they are one the most talented group of musicians to ever get together.  My favorite album of theirs is the Live at Leeds album.  They really show off their talent on this one.  It mostly highlights the Who's aggressive and highly improvised styles.
