Subject: Camping

Has anybody else noticed how in the past 30 years, camping has decreased tremendously?

I remember in the 1970's, almost every family had either a cabover pickup camper, a trailer, or a conversion camper van?

In the past 15 years, you almost never see the bubble top van conversions or cabover campers.  About all you see are the monster RVs and 5th wheel trailers.  And just camping wherever you stop has given way to the sterile KOA type facilities, where nature has been scraped away and all you get is a Disneyland type of nature.

It makes me more and more reminiscent of the old days, where we went camping, and saw lots of other famlies doing the same thing.  Maybe if more families did this, you would have less overweight kids and a bigger appreciation for nature.
