I watched Ray Rayner all the time before I went off to school in the morning.  I loved Cuddley Duddley.

Yeah  Ray Rayner was on WGN TV in Chicago just before Bozo came on in the mornings in the 70s.  He had horrible jump suits but I still liked his show anyway.   ALso, on the days when there wasnt school,  I remember Garfield Goose came on around noon...  I think these were both just Chicago-area shows...

Holy cow!  That takes me way back.
My father worked in media back then in Chicago and knew Ray and some of the Bozo folks (Marshall Brodein).
Left Chicago years ago but still watch WGN on Satellite.

THAT WAS THE COOLEST SHOW HOW ABOUT THE DUCK, HE USED TO PULL THOSE PAPERS OFF HIS SELF AND IT WOULD BE A CARTOON, THE LAND OF THE LOST...

I totally forgot about the Duck.  He was so cute.  I loved when he came out to help Ray Rayner.  What was the Ducks name?  I forget?

Sad to say that Ray Rayner passed away earlier today due to complications from pneumonia. Sad to say when I heard this on the news today, I almost broke down and cried. Another one of my childhood heros is gone.

The duck's name was Chalveston.  Loved the duck.

Remember all the post-it notes Ray used to pin to his shirt?
Remember all the messed up craft projects Ray used to do?  Chauncey made the sample project and Ray tried to duplicate it.
