Subject: A question for the British members of this group..

Did you see the "Schoolhouse Rock" animated short subjects on Saturday morning tv in England, or Australia, back in the 70's,or were they just shown in the USA, and Canada?  ???Thanks for the memories! Sincerely,Steve.

I couldn't see how they would, as Schoolhouse Rock was based on American english grammar and english (not metric) mesurements.
If they did, most of it would've been lost on them, i.e. "Verb, thats what's happening" was all based on baseball/football and American sports themes to teach verb use..

Interesting points,Gumbypiz. The only reason I asked was my wife is Canadian, and she claims she remembers seeing some of them in Canada, late 70's,early 80's. Canada has the metric system just like the U.K. Wouldn't the Canadian kids have a hard time comprehending the English measuring system, and all those above mentioned American sports team references? Maybe they showed only certain ones in Canada? Or maybe they only showed
"Schoolhouse Rock" before they went metric? I think the country converted in 1981 or 1982.  ???Thanks for the memories! Sincerely,Steve.
