Subject: Who remembers Milton the Toaster?

Who remembers the Kellogg's Pop Tart commercials featuring Milton the Toaster? He would walk around, and talk to children, while they were eating Pop Tarts for breakfast. Nobody I know seems to remember him. I can't seem to find anything about him on the web,as well. :( Who else remembers Milton the Toaster? Thanks for the memories! Sincerely,Steve.

I remember Milton.  He rocked.  8)

By the way, does anyone remember the cousin of Pop-Tarts, a toaster delicacy called Danish Go-Rounds?

Those things were awesome.  I scarfed 'em down, usually eating a box of them in one sitting.

But then they took them off the market.  :'(  A truly sad day in food industry history.  :'(

Wow.....Good old Milton....He was not around for long....
I met the actor who provided his voice at a convention and he gave me a brief story...

The voice was provided by William Schallert(the actor who played the father in the Patty Duke Show from the 60's) and other jobs included being president of the Screen Actors Guild...

H e told me the campaign was halted because of how in one commercial "the toaster" gets a hug from one of the kids who he helped and BLAMMMMOOO! Kelloggs or the ad company had a pile of letters of complaints that an action such as that was DANGEROUS and they stopped the whole thing.
They were very safety concious about it because kids 'should not' be hugging toasters or start to.
There you have it!

I was just searching online for Milton the Toaster. I have a new Honda Element and I was trying to name it. The Element looks like a toaster to me so, I thought of Milton. It's good to know that there are many others who grew up on 70's pop culture and haven't forgotten.

I had a funny reaction to Milton, I was really little like 4 or so and he freaked me out! I guess I was scared that a toaster could talk! LOL

There was another commercial that had talking Wonder Bread that creeped me out too!
