I have to agree with you on both of these.  I had every picture and poster I could find of them pasted on my wall.  I also had Robbie Benson, Donny Osmond and John Travolta!!

I started at 6 with Jack Wild, then moved on to David Cassidy, Shaun Cassidy, and John Travolta!

Shaun Cassidy, Shaun Cassidy and....yea, Shaun Cassidy!!!  When I was in the 6th grade, he was doing a show in Memphis.  My best friend was going AND had an extra ticket so she invited me along.  I was STOKED!!!!  That is until I got home to tell my parents and was promptly informed by my dad that I would NOT be seeing Shaun Cassidy, that I WAS in fact going with my family to see the Memphis Symphony Orchestra instead!!!!!!!!!
I still haven't forgiven that man for that!!!   >:(

The other thread is '70s stars that have aged well.  Leif Garrett isn't one of them.  He looks better now that he cleaned up from all the drugs and booze, but I saw a clip of him trying to sing in the early '90s.  He was wicked fat and his hair was all skankily.  He was up there trying to sing "Run Around Sue."

I guess Travolta is the coolest '70s teen idol.  As for female teen idols, well, I'd have to go with all of "Charlie's Angels."

I think I used to like Donny and Marie. I even had some dolls similar to these:
