Subject: duffy moon boy

Does anybody remember 'Duffy Moon boy'?  It's driving me mad.  I think I must have imagined a tv programme about a geeky kid who'd puff out his cheeks at strange moments.

It was a made for tv movie (one of those after school specials) about a boy who would use his mind to do things. "You can do it Duffy Moon."

I used to love Duffy Moon, but you are quite right, in my adult life I have only ever found four people who remember him and one of those was my sister!!!

That is so funny.  We were just talking about Duffy Moon.  I had to go and search on the computer to see if anything came up.  I'm glad someone else remembers him! :)

Featuring Jim Backus! ;D

I notice this movie also featured Alexa Kenin.  IMDB says she was also in Pretty In Pink, but she died in 1985, before the film was even released.  Her character was called "Jena Hoeman," which one was that?  What did Kenin die of?

I think she was Molly Ringwald's friend in school.  I found a picture of her from the movie Little Darlings and now I remember seeing her in Pretty in Pink.  I remember the scene in the gym and I think she was smoking.  She makes a remark about the snobby girl and then they both get in trouble from the gym teacher.  I'm pretty sure that's her.  You don't see her much more than that in the movie.  In the movie Little Darlings she played Dana.  One on of the sites it said she died from asthma complications, but then it said she was really murdered by her ex boyfriend.  Pretty sad, she was too young.
