???somebody please tell me what a siberian khatru is, i have always been a big yes fan but this has always stumped me and no one can give me an answer

This is not a misheard lyric.  It is the title of a Yes song.

This was mentioned by Rick Wakeman on a BBC Radio 2 programmer about Yes last year. He claims that he rarely understood Anderson's lyrics and this was one of the most obscure lyrics of all. In short, Rick Wakeman doesn't know, you don't know and I don't know. Maybe there is only one man who does....?  ;)

Well, if Wakeman didn't have a clue what Anderson was on about - how are we mere mortals to know?!!

However, one bright spark may have the answer (albeit brief!)
- try here http://nfte.org/back-issues/0066 and scroll halfway down the page to the 'Meanings/Lyrics' section...

Some other wonderfully trivial stuff there, too...!
