Subject: Meatloaf Concert

Written By: BrianMannixGirl on 03/06/04 at 10:12 a.m.

Wooohooo - what a big concert week it has been for me !  Fleetwood Mac last weekend, Bowie on Monday, and Meatloaf tonight :)  I have been home for an hour or so and am soooo hyper !!.

I had centre 3rd row seats but just before Meat came on stage I joined others who ran up to the stage - so I leaned on a fence thing right at the front centre all night - right below Meat !!

He opened with Life is a Lemon, had fun with Dead Ringer for Love and All Reved Up.  Patricia Russo was awesome as his backing vocalist and rocked during Paradise and Anything For Love.

The band even played Waltzing Matilda for the Aussie crowd !!

Meat was unexhaustable - stopping only for a small asthma attack so he sat down for the ballad Two Out Three Aint Bad.

The night ended with Bat Outa Hell and towards the end of the number a HUGE inflatable bat appeared at the back of stage.

I took my teeny cheapie digital again so the pics are not as clear as I would like - but I still had to share !!!  And I definately shrunk them this time.

Too cool, BMG. And some great pics. I saw Meatloaf in concert about 10 years ago or so. He does put on one hell of a show. With all the concerts I had gone to see in my lifetime (not a lot), I would have to say that Meatloaf was by far the best.

Catwoman I have seen him 5 times in the past 20 years and yes - he puts on a wicked show every time.  He gives 150%.

Freaky - on last nights Channel Ten news they showed two clips of me enjoying the gig !!!!!  Mind you one was from behind and thats NOT a good angle !!

Tina he has just completed his Retirement World Tour !!  I am in Aus so I have no idea about his US tours.
I believe he "may" do a few small gigs in the US as he continues to retire - but no more big gigs - he has his health to think about these days.

Try his website - I visit there occassionally - there may be updated tour info.
