Tofu had been around for centuries, but it gained currency among vegetarians in the '70s.  Bagels began making their way out of Jewish enclaves and into Mayfield and Mayberry.
I have questions.  Did Rice-a-Roni and Dinty Moore stews debut in the '70s, or earlier?  How about Doritos? Did the first juice boxes debut in the '70s, or not until the early '80s?  I believe Haagen Dazs started in the '70s, but I'm not sure.
???

I'm not 100% sure of this, but I think Ruffles potato chips came along in the 70's - at least that's when flavors like Sour Cream & Onion and Barbecue first appeared.

Oh yeah, the Whatchamacalit candy bar debuted in 1978 or '79 - only they didn't have caramel in them until later on.

I suspected many varieties of chips debuted in the '70s, but I'm not old enought to remember commercial happenings in the first half of the decade.  I do remember when the Watchamacalit came out.  They had an Abbott & Costello "Who's on First" spoof for the commercial.  "WATCHAMACALIT...That's what I thought you said!"
I remember more candy that came out in the '70s than other foods, because that's what I was buying myself.
Wrigley's had a Western theme for the early Big Red commercials, though Hubba Bubba exploited the cowboy much more successfully a couple of years later.

Rice-a-Roni has been around since the 50's, Dinty Moore from around the 60's (remember my mom complaining about it from her college days), nasty, fatty stuff in a can.
Pringles came out in the '70s, so did Fungos. Lots of salty, chips made their debut then.
I don't know about juice boxes, but the juice "bags" showed up in the '70's. We had both our juice and milk served to us in school in them, biggest mistake in the world to give hyper school children bags of tossable fluid and sharp straws...

I had a Dinty Moore microwave stew once. ONCE! If the canned stuff was half as bad as the microwavable stuff....

I assciate Pringles with the '70s.  My grandmother kept them around.  I remember eating them with ginger ale while the grown-ups sat around drinking their cocktails.

Milk-in-a-bag? Never saw it marketed that way!
I used to like those Capri-Sun juice bags.  The pressure to fluid ratio in the juice boxes was too tempting for mischievous kids. All you had to do was sneak up and pinch the box a bit, and the beverage would run out the kid's nose!
I dubbed the dorks who brown-bagged these drinks "Juice-Box Heroes."

There's a chain of convenience stores in Wisconsin where I live called Kwik Trip that sells Milk-in-a-bag, chocolate milk-in-a-bag, and orange juice in-a-bag; I suppose it's easier to carry than a big carton.

Oh, what part of Wiscaahnsin are you in?  Just curious.  I've never seen these bagged products here in the east.
