I've been racking my brain trying to remember the name of the character who used to say, "Greetings" whenever he spoke to people. Any ideas?

It's a typical vampire hello. Greetings (deep voice with a Transilvanian accent) It started in the old movies and then was camped and spoofed by everybody.
You may be thinking of Sesame Street's The Count 1, 2, 3, 4, bats ha,ha,ha,ha.(lightning).
