Does ANYBODY out there know who sang the song "I like it like that" used in a Burger King commercial a few ages ago! I was told it was the Gypsy Kings, but I think that is wrong.

No, it wasn't the Gipsy Kings. Your "mystery song" is simply titled "I Like It", and was by a Latin "supergroup" of sorts that called themselves The Blackout Allstars. (The group consisted of Sheila E., Tito Puente, and Grover Washington, Jr., among others.) The song was originally released in the Summer of '94, when it was included on both volumes of the soundtrack to the movie "I Like it Like That". ("Vol. I" of the soundtrack is the English edition; "Vol. II" is the Spanish edition - I'm pretty sure the version of "I Like It" is the same on both, however, so take your pick.) Fortunately, both volumes of the soundtrack are still in print today on CD here in the U.S...

Two-and-a-half years later, the song "I Like It" was then revived here in the U.S. through its inclusion in the Burger King commercial you noted - and as a result, became a moderate hit single in the Winter of '97...
