Subject: Sat. morning TV
Does anyone out there remember a Saturday morning TV show from the 70s about 3 guys and a gorilla, who ran a detective agency and looked for ghosts? I recall this being called "Ghostbusters", before the movie of the same name. I was surprised by the movie, because I thought it would be based on the TV show that I was thinking of. I'm pretty sure the program aired on NBC. (I grew up in a rural area and we only had 2 channels. Since we had to use a pliers to change the channel, we pretty much only watched the 1 channel. It was easier than dealing with the electrical shock). Does anyone know the name of the show? Have you ever been able to access episodes?
How about another Saturday morning TV show, about 3 teenagers (2 boys and a girl) and a chimp named "Jonah" or "Jonas" that talked. It was a post-nuclear holocaust Earth. They drove around in what must have been the prototype of the original Ford Lumina minivan. It was called "The Ark II". Sometimes when they were out in the barren wastelands of Earth, they traveled around using jetpacks on their backs. I don't know what that show was called either.
Does this sound familiar to anyone or am I simply hallucinating?
