"Closer to Home (I'm Your Captain)". But I could have easily gone with something off of "E Pluribus Funk".

Do you mean "E pluribus unim..by Blue Cheer in 1968?  They did the remake of "Summertime Blues"

No. The GFR album called "E Pluribus Funk" and songs like "Upsetter" and "Loneliness".

'Bad Time' gets it from me...

(At the risk of several 'dirty looks', nothing comes close to Little Eva's 'Loco-motion'...sentimental purposes, y'see...!)

Rock n' Roll Soul -- It should have been a Rock anthem but was never a big hit.

My brother was attending Creighton when that song came out...though he was never a "Chiquita" he did work at the Hilton and accidently spilled mayo on Bill Bixby....Bixby was very kind unlike his idiot manager >:( :D

Some Kind Of Wonderful  barely gets the pick over the rest.

LOVE this band!  "Caught In The Act"  is one of the best live albums ever!

It kind of changes, today it's "Locomotion"   they do it better than Little Eva or whichever one of those girl groups sang it.

I never hear them anymore - I'll have to get satellite radio.

It was Little Eva...the baby sitter for Carole King and her husband at the time, Gerry Goffin :)
