I don't know if this counts, because I'm not sure if this poll is strictly for his solo material, but I like "Stay With Me," when he was with the Faces.

I remember 'Reason To Believe' being used for a pantyhose add here, in the late 70's ! :o

Let's see, Rod did have a lot of good stuff before he became the Prostitute of Rock & Roll... ::)

I will have to go with his version of Dylan's "Mama You Been on My Mind"

A few of my favorite Rod Stewards songs are his early ones, 'Reason To Believe' , 'Handbags And Gladrags, 'Every Picture Tells A Story', 'Gasoline Alley', 'Maggie May' is still good but it's getting a little played out :)

I have a poll about his 80's songs (I'm overall not a huge RS fan, but I love his stuff from that era), but from the 70's, I picked "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy."  :D

That's probably as cheesy as "We Built this City" but it's pretty catchy and, although it's influenced by Disco, I wouldn't say it has an exact resemblence.

I also like "Hot Legs" (one of his hardest rocking radio songs), Stone Cold Sober, and Tonight's the Night.

Youre in my heart.

That song is the epitome of the love a bloke has for a woman, or at least one of them, and especially for the time...........that is a wonderful piece of poetry with the rod Stewart musical feeling and expression behind it. I picked this song.

The other song id like to mention is from the 70's aswell -" You wear it well" - another very good song, around the same time as maggie may,and a little too similar to Maggie may, but hey they are all rod stewart songs, so he can compose his songs however he likes :)
