Good "obscure" band RnRFan.

They remind me more of early '80s than the '70s. ;)

I like
Biggest Part of Me (1980)

:D

wow,no "NICE, NICE ,VERY NICE"?????? ??? wow,no "OTHER" option???? if any category needed an "other" choice, this one did. why does everybody only choose the singles??? i mean, if the radio stuff is the ONLY stuff you know by a band, why do you bother creating a poll featuring them in the first place????!!!

How Much I Feel, followed by The Biggest Part of Me.

They also remind me more of the '80's for some reason.

I picked 'other' and voted for "Nice Nice Very Nice" even if they were ripping off Vonnegut. :)

"Holding On to Yesterday" was good too, but their other stuff was way too comercial.

I went with "Holdin On to yesterday", which I think was their first big hit.  Man, it had this slow, bluesy pace to it and was a great tune to play near the end of a party on a hot summer night.  8)

Famed classical musician Leonard Bernstein was a mentor to this group.  Also, they were commissioned to coordinate the music and talent at President Clinton's inagural parties back in 1993.  8)

For some reason when I think of Ambrosia i think of another obscure band, The Sanford Townsend Band.  I'm not sure why, but they rocked too.  ???

Sanford Townsend hat a 1977 hit with "Smoke From A Distant Fire" and yes, "Holdin' On To Yesterday" was Ambrossia's first huge hit :)

You're the only Woman and How much I feel - Ambrosia brings back so many lonely but beautiful memories.
