Subject: Harry Chapin Poll

Have to go with Taxi-followed VERY closely by W O L D
But 30,000 lbs of Bananas have been going through my mind this weekend. Only it is 30,000 lbs of rice (well, maybe not THAT much but pretty damn close) :o

I went with "Taxi" (1972)
I never liked it until years later. I once saw HC on television where he "interpreted" that falsetto singing part that someone does. People had kept asking him what the heck that person was singing.
Most people figure it's a late '70s song but it's not.
"Cat's in the cradle" is...Ok...but "WOLD" sounded really funny and odd back then...

Taxi.
I remember as a teenager being in Central Park while a Chapin concert was goin on inside an arena. He was doing the song "Taxi" and when he sang the part about "takin' tips and getting stoned" a roar erupted from the audience.
