Subject: England Dan & John Ford Coley

Written By: CeramicsFanatic on 05/06/04 at 5:21 pm

Here's a bit of trivia for you...

Who can name the band that 'England' Dan's brother started?  They were a well-known duo in the early-70's...

Now back to the poll...

My favorite is "Nights Are Forever Without You".  :)

I liked it when it first came out, but haven't heard it in a long time. Is it still good ?

I still went with it...
"Love Is The Answer" (1979)

I voted the same as you Fuss.  Was this the only hit they had in Australia?

I like 'I'd Really Love to See You Tonight' the best :)

1976 - I'd Really Love to See You Tonight
1976 - Nights Are Forever Without You
1977 - It's Sad to Belong
1977 - Gone Too Far
1978 - We'll Never Have to Say Goodbye
1978 - You Can't Dance
1979 - Love is the Answer
1979 - What Can I Do With This Broken Heart
1980 - In it For Love

Here's some trivia:

'You Can't Dance' is a Canadian song.  It was written by Tim Ryan and Bob Yeomans, the core members of a group called Jackson Hawke.  Their original 1976 version reached #24 in the Canadian Chart.  It didn't chart in the US

In the 80s, England Dan went solo as a country singer under his real name Dan Seals.  Though he had many hits on the Billboard country chart, only two hit the Hot 100:  'Late at Night' and 'Bop' .  In Canada, 'Bop' was his only pop hit, where it reached #1

I'd Really Love To See You Tonight, love that song! This saturday John Ford Coley, Christopher Cross and Ambrosia are going to be at a 70s Festival nearby, and I was thinking it would be really fun to go to, until I realized it's on the same day as Linz's graduation.
