Can I vote for Layla the Unplugged version? If not, then my vote would be Wonderful Tonight

This is a 70's poll and that particular version came out much later (90's, I believe).

Layla (as Derek & The Dominos)

Me too Karen, the slow version should die a slow death, as it caused me to do  ;)

Other--"Bell Bottom Blues." Another one I really like is "The Core." LOVE Marcy Levy's voice, plus it's got (IMHO) one of Clapton's coolest riffs.

I hate to try and pick my favorite because I like everything ol' Slowhand has ever done..........that being said, Layla is and always will be one of the defining songs in rock history.

I chose I Shot The Sheriff. It reminds me of long hot summer days laying on the beach sucking up the rays without any sunscreen. Coming home burnt like a lobster, having a long cold bath, and then turning brown as a berry.

Of course, this was before the skin cancer scare.

It's neat that you had parents who would sing in the car.  Mine never did that (at least not that I can remember), but I often sing along to the music on the radio or my CD's when my kids are in the car.  My 2 year old thinks it's hilarious.  The Law would probably think otherwise, and have me arrested for noise pollution  ;D

I voted for "Layla", since I have many positive memories of this song from college.

Wonderful Tonight.  When I get married, that'll be me and my husband's first dance.  Runner-up to that is "other" because I really like the song "Cocaine".
