Written By: zcrito on 05/12/04 at 8:35 pm

Someone on another msg board noticed this first.

If you remember songs like
:)
Back Stabbers - O'Jays
For the Love of Money - O'Jays
I'll Always Love My Mamma -  The Intruders
Wake Up Everybody - Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes

and of course
Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now - McFadden and Whitehead

then you'll be sad to hear...

Thanks for the info. I was not familiar with the name Johnny Bristol, but it is always sad when someone dies. Fortunately, he was able to die of his natural causes as nature intended. May he also be resting in peace.

I saw this on a local news webpage. How sad and tragic. McFadden and Whitehead never got the recognition they deserved for writing these hits, and now one of them has been taken away.  :\'(

They could've had more hits during the late 80's. :(

Hello everybody. I am John's Daughter and I just wanted to take a few minutes to say thank you for all of your condolences.  They greatly appreciated.
My fathers murder is still unsolved...but we all know justice will prevail soon or later.
Keep us in your prayers...
And again thank you   :'(
