Okay for all you 70's buffs, I have a question that's been making me crazy. I am going to see if I can explain it so that you'll all be able to help me out.  There is theme music, it was during a show, most likely some sort of variety show...that goes a little something like this......
ma na ma na ---dee dee  dee--dee  dee dee
ma na ma na ---dee dee  dee--dee  dee dee
da dee dee   da dee dee   da dee dee  da dee dee
Everyone I ask says it's from the Dating Game, but I really don't believe that it is, since I've been able to listen to some dating game music.  My memory keeps taking me to some sort of variety/comedy show with this music playing during a skit (mime like) ÂÂ
Please make this tune go away!!  :o Before my family puts me in an asylum.  Thanks!

It was used (in a speeded-up version) on 'The Benny Hill Show' (not variety, but certainly comedy) mostly throughout the seventies, although it also gained popularity when used on 'The Muppet Show'...
...but (whisper), it actually originated from a Swedish porn movie...!!

      Thank you, thank you! ;D That's exactly it! I must remember it from the Muppet Show! Can you all tell how happy I am to finally get that tune out of my head! I am so thankful I found this board.
      See, I wasn't too far off. I never really got into Benny Hill. Mum was Canadian and thought it was too racy for us to watch! Actually, my parents told us the TV was broken until I was 16! Never doubted them.ÂÂ
       Thanks again, and I apologize to anyone who now has that tune STUCK in THEIR head!
