My favorite character on this whole show is Aunt Esther because the way her and Fred bickered with each other was hilarious - he'd make an insult to her such as "Aunt Gorilla" and she'd come back with "Watch it Sucka"  ;D

I also liked Grady the best among Fred's buddies. :)

That was a good show, I picked Fred of Course, I think my favorite visitor to their house was Julio :)

Rollo had to be one of the 1st Pimp characters on a sitcom.In His 1st appearences He's all Pimped out....The outfits, matching wide brimmed hat,the exaggerated walk.
As the show goes on they softened Him A LOT then He disappeared all together.
Grady was very cool too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that was when Redd Foxx was trying to get more money, so they sent his character to St Louis for several episodes and Grady moved in with Lamont.

and I think they named the show something else.This must've been The Sanford Arms in 1981.

Smitty & Hoppe were also pretty good. Hoppe was the funniest, always getting the pronunciations wrong:

  That episode was Soo funny!!!  A few Months ago there was a weekend long Fest of SAS...I stayed up to watch all of them again...Its hard to pick any 2.. they were all great..
