I love the "Wish You Were Here"  album, so I chose "Shine On You Crazy Diamond".    :) Although, hubby is a huge Floyd fan, and likes they're early, early stuff, but that is just one of the things we disagree on!  ;)  ;D

I found it.
I was close...it was made in 1977, and it's by Rosebud. This is the best I could find, but it does exist...

PF is unquestionably one of the greatest bands ever. And yes someone mentioned earlier the Wizard of Oz/Dark Side of the Moon synchronization, I've seen it a few times, its really well-done (you have to start the CD right after the MGM Lion finishes its third roar).

My Favorite Pink Floyd songs:

Comfortably Numb
Time
Wish You Were Here

One Of My Turns - Don't Leave Me Now,  Roger does a kick ass job expressing his anger great sound effects, in my opinion both songs should alway be played back to back as if one song the same way as Queen's we are the champions and we will rock you :) and Arnold Layne, some of Sids old stuff, the song was actually banned for being to racey at the time about a guy stealing woman's underwear off the Wash line

I cannot possibly choose even a Top 10 from my list of favourite Pink Floyd songs, there are just too many that I enjoy. They are truly great songwriters and performers whose back catalog keeps selling because it's so good.

On "Dark Side Of The Moon" I've recently been listening to the instrumental "Any Colour You Like" a lot, I love the way the Dave Gilmour guitar sound switches from speaker to speaker with each chord.

There's a lot of the old stuff that brings back happy memories of my teenage years, getting drunk on cider aged 15 listening to "Interstellar Overdrive" and "Obscured By Clouds".

gord - someone posted that story about the conjunction of The Wizard of Oz and Dark Side Of The Moon some time ago. I tried it.....didn't work for me, I think it's just an urban myth personally!

Recent UK newspaper article about the current activities of Floyd members and rumours of a reunion (don't hold your breath!):

I found it to be alright , it's not earth shattering buts it ok, you have to get the timing bang on. They used to do a regular showing of it in Toronto, not sure if they still do. :)

Best P.F. song title ever:

Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Smalll Cave

I was a HUGE Pink Floyd fan back in the 80s (see my avatar).  I agree that "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave Grooving with a Pict" is one of the most original song titles ever invented (as well as the longest!).  Of the songs on the list at the top of this post, my favorites are:

- Wish You Were Here
- Comfortably Numb
- Hey You

But I love all of their music, from the psychedelic "Ummagumma" all the way through the despair of "The Final Cut".  Roger Waters wrote some extremely intelligent lyrics that IMO are more along the lines of poetry.  Judging by his music, the poor guy must have had an absolutely miserable childhood.

Not only the best title, but the best song... Off the best album.

I picked Shine on Crazy Diamond, and Wish you were Here... and... and... ugh, I forget
