Match Game and Other: Blockbusters.

I loved Match Game as a kid and thought it was very funny-even though I didn't get half the jokes-now I watch the reruns and realized how much of it was over my head a kid.

Blockbusters was hosted by Bill Cullin. They had two teams-one had only one person and the other had two. The two person team had to connect side to side and the one person team had to connect top to bottom.

After trying to find this pic, I realize that this game show was in the 80s not the 70s so please forgive me for my mistake.

Definitely Match Game and Family Feud. I wish we could've voted for more. I also like the Newlywed Game, the Gong Show, and the Pyramid.

I agree with nally and Tanya...

Match Game and Family Feud.  I thought Gene Rayburn was the best game show host ever.  8)

It's sad that Gene Rayburn had passed away on November 29th,1999.He was 81 years old. :(
The only game show hosts that are still going strong are Bob Barker,Wink Martindale,Pat Sajak & some others I can't remember at the moment.

I completely forgot about that one! I have watched that show, but in reruns.

I never really cared for the Newlywed Game, but I enjoy the flubs I've seen on the "Most Outrageous Game Show Moments." :D

Good choices. O0

Now, for some reason, "Let's Make a Deal" is listed twice on the poll?? Maybe there were two different versions of it?

Edit... I'm looking on Wiki, and it appears there was more than one run of it during the 1970s. There was a network version that ran from 1963-1976 (first on NBC, then moved to ABC); then there was a syndicated version that ran from 1971-1977. Both were emceed by Monty Hall. Then there were subsequent editions.

He was a great emcee. I used to watch those reruns on GSN when I first got the channel, but now I can see 'em on the BUZZR channel.

"Card Sharks" also premiered in the 1970s with host Jim Perry; I liked that one too.
