Anyone a Chapin fan? Saw 9 concerts and wish he were still around... I wonder what his take on Bush would be??? ;D

I LOVE Harry Chapin. I cried the day he died. :\'( :\'( :\'( Never got to see him in concert though-but wanted to. I did see a film of one on PBS not too long ago and I do have his "live" album which told me that he put on one h3ll of a show.

I wouldn't call myself an absolute fan, but he did some tremendous stuff - 'W.O.L.D.' is a cracker of a song...
What's rarely mentioned is that he was an absolute champion for worthy causes, long before it was 'fashionable' for pop stars to be that way...

Taxi and WOLD are my two favorites. Taxi reminds me of this guy I dated a long time ago. The funny thing was, at the time, he was taking flying lessons and I was working Summer Stock (sounds a lot like the song.)
I also love 30,000 lbs of Bananas and She is Always 17.

What Harry was saying in 'Cat's In The Cradle' is so true :)

Sooooo many of his songs hit home on soooo many topics! You all seem to know the more "popular" songs... check out one of his more obscure albums! Like Portrait gallery, or Dance Band On The Titanic, or Legends Of The Lost and Found.

I think my all time favorite would have to be "A Better Place to Be".
Others would be "Mail Order Annie" and "Mr. Tanner".
I'm a huge fan.

I always thought that Cats in the Cradle was a sad song. The guy never had time for his kid and I think that is very sad.

Fortunately, for Harrys family, he always had time for them! They have a great website. Check it out!
