This has bothered me for 30 years...although I am a solid 70s rocker(Led,Aero,PF,ACDC,VH) there is a sucky song that reminds me of my first girlfriend...something like this " you've got control of me, some strange kind of hold on me, every move you make.....
Anyone know??......Thanks in advance

The closest I can get is "Dizzy" by Tommy Roe :)

I've also been looking for this song for years. A local station during the early 70's would play a pre-recorded set of songs after 10:00 pm. It was always the same set only the first song on one night would be the last song the next night. I've been able to find all of the songs that I remember except that one. If you find the name of it let me know.

Update.....the song is by Les Emmerson recorded in 1973. Shortly after releasing this song he joined 5 man electrical band....chances are you are Canadian if the song rings a bell. No download found anywhere

I am not Canadian, but I remember the song very well, I taped it off the radio when it was out, and later in the same year finally found the 45 in a bunch of used jukebox records (35 cents each!) :)

Actually, Les was a founding member of Five Man Electrical Band. The group began in 1963 as The Staccatos, and after 2 albums, changed the name to the Five Man Electrical Band in 1969. They called it quits in 1973, but Les continued to record under the name until 1975 :)
