Can someone PLEASE help me find which 1970's movie this quote came from?

"I think I'm over that now."

All I know is that ROBERT DE NEIRO was the "HERO" in the movie.

I need the movie title by Friday June 24, 2005. Thank you for helping!

Please e-mail me as soon as possible if you know the answer. I need to answer this question for extra credit in one of my school courses and I can't find it ANYWHERE!

Sounds like something from "Taxi Driver", but it depends on what who define the "hero". Could be from any of these: Godfather 2; Mean Streets; Bang the Drum Slowly; Greetings; Hi, Mom
