In the UK, Low Rider by War entered the charts on 24th January 1976.

I always loved that song :D
According to my Billboard book, it debuted on the US Billboard charts on 9/20/1975, and spent 15 weeks on the charts. (That also matches what I remember about the song when it was out.)
It peaked at #7 on the Billboard charts. Yeah, we liked it back then - and still do!
