Was this his original band renamed or made up of new members? Mann still performs time to time from what I hear. His 'Somehwere in Afrika' and 'Roaring Silence' albums are great! I'm glad his version of 'Blinded by the light' proved more successful than Springsteen who originally did it.

I remember him being just Manfred Mann (do wah diddy diddy ....).

Manfred Mann's Earth Band are great. Their 1984 comeback hit 'The Runner' (which was written by Ian Thomas) was just excellent :)
