Subject: The Warriors

Written By: Cafe80s on 11/08/05 at 10:54 am

Anyone remember the cult classic movie The Warriors right at the end of the 70s. I was surprised when i found out there is a new Warriors game for X Box & PS2 based on the 1979 movie. I'm just wondering has anyone played it yet & does it capture the same 70s feel as the movie had or is it another modern piece of sh!t 3rd person game GTA style with a modern gansta style feel aimed at at a wannabe gangsta kiddie youth market? Is the original music score from the movie used in the game? I heard that the band Queens Of The Stone Age were going to do the song In The City originally done by Joe Walsh in the movie. When i heard this i thought "man that sucks donkey d*ck"

First off I love The Warriors! The film is a classic! They've just released highly detailed action figures of the gang.

I'm not into any type of PC games etc, but my brother just bought the game. I just asked him and he said it's "very good"... he is an older brother... 32 yrs old, so it's not like I'm asking some kid... ha ha. He didn't care to elaborate though  ;D

Thanks.
I still wouldn't mind finding out more about it & have my other questions about it answered in more detail before i go & spend $89 AUD on it.

I just saw this post, my son recently played and finished the game, and from what I saw of it and heard from him it followed the movie very close. And I'm not sure if the music from the moviewas used in the game.
