Subject: Crazy Love

Written By: ValleyGirl on 11/15/05 at 12:06 am

Does anyone else like this song:

Tonight I'm gonna break away
Just you wait and see
I've never been imprisoned by
A faded memory

Just when I think I'm over her
This broken heart will mend
I hear her name and I have to cry
The tears come down again

CHORUS:

It happens all the time
This crazy love of mine
Wrapped around my heart
Refusing to unwind
Ooh-ooh, crazy love, ah...

Count the stars in the southern sky
That fall without a sound
And then pretend that you can't hear
These teardrops coming down

CHORUS

Tonight I'm gonna break away
Just you wait and see
I've never been imprisoned by
A faded memory

CHORUS

Tonight I'm gonna break away...

Poco, Pure Prairie League and Firefall are going to be in concert very soon near me, and I wanna go.  I love them all.

I love Crazy Love by Poco.  Such a beautiful tune.  I really liked Poco in the late 80's.  Randy Meisner, original founding member (and also ex-member of The Eagles) re-joined Poco for their awesome 1989 hits "Call it Love" and "Nothin to Hide"  8)

I like Poco although I don't have any of their albums, anymore.  Check 'em out on amazon...

The lead, uh, Tim somthin'ruther fronted the Eagles for a short time, didn't he?

Ceramics Fanatic- Are you from that area??

Cause I am going!!!!! I called my best girlfriend today and we are going by ourselves! And spending Friday night at the resort!  My mom said she'd pay for the whole thing as an early Xmas present, cause she never knows what to buy me, and I called today and booked it, and can hardly wait.  It will be so weird...I never usually go places without my family.
I am not looking forward to driving anywhere on Black Friday...with it being a holiday weekend and all, but I am a good driver, and careful, so I am going just do it!! You only live once!!

I haven't listened to the song in ages, but I'll get back to it shortly once I've heard it -- I'm sure it's lying around the room somewhere on a various artist compilation (gosh knows, I've got only about 50 gajillion of those things!). ;)

From what I remember it was a nice ballad very in line with the 70's/80's mixed style of singer songwriter/soft pop-rock that was going on from roughly 1978-83 (i.e. also includes bands like Air Supply, Toto, Christopher Cross and Little River Band).
