Trooper were a 70's Rock Band from Canada

They formed in Vancouver in 1972 and following a few name changes, Trooper hit the Canadian charts in 1975 with Baby Woncha Please Come Home.  Throughout the 70's, they charted a whole handful of hits across Canada, the biggest of which was 1978's Oh, Pretty Lady (IMO the greatest ballad of the 70s!).  That same year, Trooper made a minor impact in America with Raise A Little Hell.  It was their only charting single on Billboard, yet several of their albums performed very well on the charts

In 1980, Trooper finally won their first Juno (Canada's version of the Grammy), taking honours for best group.  That same year, they charted what would be their last big hit with the song Janine.  When their 1982 album Money Talks bombed, Trooper decided to call it quits.  They re-emerged in the late 80's and still continue to tour today!
