Anyone remember the movie "Summer of 42". I happened to catch it on cable this weekend. Anyone know what ever happened to the actor Gary Grimes. He did a few more movies but seemed to have fallen off the face of the earth.

My dad rented this movie many years ago, and I remember how much I loved it. Hopefully I'll get to see it again someday.  :)

It came out when I was 11 ....but I didn't actually get to see it until I was 15 or 16. I absolutely fell for Jennifer O'Neill in the role of wife whose husband went off to war. Sigh...I had wished it could happen to me...... ::)
Grimes starred in the sequel 'Class of '44' and was in 'Cahill - US Marshall' (with John Wayne). Other than those fils I can't recall him in anything else..

He was really good in the 70's Film The Spikes Gangwith Lee Marvin , Ron Howard & Charles Martin Smith.
It really deserves a DVD release !
