The only thing I remember from SKY is the 1980 song 'Toccata'

There was another group by that name, but spelt slightly different...

They were called 'Skyy' (in Britain, they were known as 'New York Skyy' to avoid confusion with the band Jason mentioned...)

They were a tight disco/funk outfit led by Brass Construction's Randy Muller...

Tho' I must admit, I don't know that song mentioned above...

The Sky I know consisted of virtuoso guitarist John Williams, with rock guitarist Kevin Peek, classical percussionist Tristran Fry, ex-Curved Air keyboards player Francis Monkman and the versatile session bass player and the composer of the novelty UK number 1 Grandad Herbie Flowers. The quintet had a top 5 hit with Toccata which was based on the theme by JS Bach.

And Mr. Flowers is the missing link between Clive Dunn & Lou Reed...

Becuase that's him playing that famous bass riff on 'Walk On The Wild Side'...

I remember Skyy.  They had a popular '82 hit with "Call Me".  Good tune :)

Have you heard Rolf Harris' version of Walk On The Wild Side?

I met Rolf Harris once and saw him perform at a function for kids with disabilities. (my Sis-in-law has a brain injury).

While I like his earlier stuff, I hate his takes on old songs...Especially Stairway To Heaven. For that alone he shouldve been shot.

Sorry, back on topic...

Ive heard of Toccata, and thats about it. From both Sky and Skyy.
