Subject: Perverted/Sexually Explicit 70's songs

Written By: Tony20fan4ever on 02/28/06 at 9:35 pm

I'll start:
Love to Love You Baby..Donna Summer (simulates orgasm 22 times at least)
More, More, More...Andrea True Connection

There was also a song called "I Wanna Do Something Freaky to You" that I vaguely remember, don't know the artist though.

I love "Love To Love You, Baby".  I've got one of the extended mixes, it's like 16 or 17 minutes long and at my friend's 21st birthday we had a disco theme, and we played it back-to-back-to-back.  It was great.

Ok don't - but I thought 10cc was a syringe or drug measurement.  Is that perverted?  Am I having a blonde moment?

It's allegedly the amount a man ejaculates

modified to add.  Although someone on AmIRight claims  "One of the members used to fly radio controlled model aircraft, and a popular engine size was 10 cubic centimetres - 10 CC. I got that from an interview I read."

so now you know

I think most people here know exactly what Marvin Gaye is singing about in "Let's Get It On".....

And that song "Do You Wanna Make Love", don't know the artist..

and of course Bad Company's "Feel Like Makin' Love", not to be confused with Roberta Flack's "Feel Like Making Love" which is also about...the HORIZONTAL BOP...

Almost anything (and everything) by the legendary Judge Dread...

Well...okay, not so much 'perverted'...more 'innuendo'-laden, but his material was enough to guarantee him not one shred of airplay...

Titles include...'Big Six', 'Big Seven', 'Big Eight'...(You get the idea!)

Now, if you want 'explicit'...try Ivor Biggun's 'Winker's Song' from 1978...!

OK, here are a few people seem to have missed:

Baby Take Your Teeth Out, by Frank Zappa
Cold Ethyl, by Alice Cooper
I Made Linda Lovelace Gag, by David Allen Coe (he had a lot that were worse, I can not even give the titles here they are so bad)
Touch-a Touch-a Touch-a Touch-a Me, by the cast of Rocky Horror (and almost every other song in the movie for that matter)
Chevy Van, by Sammy Johns
Brown Sugar, by The Rolling Stones
Mister Wiggles, by Parlaiment
Black Betty, by Ram Jam (originally by Leadbelly)

Disco Lady-I can't remember who it is by. I'm not too sure if I should post the lyrics that I remember here because this is supposed to be a family message board.

"Smut" by Skyhooks

The song has to do with using the inside of a greasy Twisties* packet to umm, err, 'pleasure thineself' in a darkened movie theatre.  But the lights come up at the wrong time :  ;D

"And then they turn the lights on
And people start to stare..."  :)

* Twisties - a cheese flavoured snack treat.  North Americans, think Cheetos for the same effect...

There were a lot of these in the 70s.  Some that I liked:

I Love The Dead - Alice Cooper
Go All The Way - The Raspberries
When The Whip Comes Down - Rolling Stones
Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin

And I can't believe no one mentioned:  Afternoon Delight - Starland Vocal Band

Go All The Way - The Raspberries

Eh ?  "Go All The Way" is 'Perverted/Sexually Explicit' ?  :o ??? ??? ???

I never knew how complete love could be
Till she kissed me and said,
Baby, please go all the way,
It feels so right
Being with you here tonight,
Please, go all the way,
Just hold me close
Don

If I recall correctly, the theme of every Raspberries song was about getting some girl in bed for the night... ;D

How about White Plains:

My baby loves lovin'
My baby loves lovin'
She's got what it take
An she knows how to use it...

In 1970 my cousin bought that record for her nine-year old son as his request and I remember my mother being appalled! ;D

In the early to mid seventies the really raunchy stuff never got played on mainstream radio.

Like the second verse of Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild Side"

Or Frank Zappa's "Dynamo Hum" (FM radio played it to death tho'...)

You know, I remember that my best freind's mother would not allow her to buy the record "Sooner or Later" by the Grass Roots because she believed that the song was about a guy trying to talk his girlfriend out of her virginity.... ::)

(She must have had apoplexy 5 years later over "Only the Good Die Young" ;D )

Don't know that it was perverted, but Meri Wilson's, "Telephone Man" certainally could be taken as suggestive.  ;D  Also, her follow-up ""Peter the Meter Reader,"

Also depending on how conservative you were, Ray Stevens' "The Streak" could be considered...

And Meatloaf's "Paradise by the dashboard light" or something along those lines (I just remember hearing it in Karaoke.

I don't remember the song, but the title doesn't especially please me...  ;D  Ain't Gonna Bump No More (With No Big Fat Woman) Joe Tex

Well, the thing is, Joe Tex was not exactly a slimline model himself (If I remember the film clip correctly) so I think there was a degree of tongue in cheek in there  :)
