Subject: David Essex

David Essex was sadly a two hit wonder in North America (Rock On and Lamplight)  :\'(

Over the years, I've heard many of these and I absolutely love A Winter's Tale followed by Tahiti :)

Wow, I thought he was only a one hit wonder. Yes, I voted for Rock On. I love that song. But I must admit that Michael Damian didn't do a bad job on the remake. But David Essex's version is so much better.

"Rock On" is the only one I know, so I feel none too qualified to vote. Good song, though.

'Hold Me Close' ('ev'ry cloud's got-ta silver lining!')

...though 'If I Could' was a pretty little effort, as was 'Myfanwy'...

My oldest sister did too...in 1974...

She said that was a good concert as well...according to her, he had that little bit 'extra' than the usual teen-fodder of the day...

A great singer who is also very cute.

I had a major crush on him as a young kid   :-[

David Essex also had the lead role in the musical version of the war of the worlds.  Which is a great soundtrack.
