Subject: Do you think "Just What I Needed" influenced '80s music?

Written By: Marty McFly on 06/12/06 at 1:34 am

The guitars in this song are a little heavier/more "classic rock"ish in a '70s style, but it also strikes me as having a rough/early version of the synthpop '80s sound. Compare that with their 1984 singles off Heartbeat City (which is VERY "80s"). Something like "You Might Think" is only a gradual change from this style.
