Only *** 5 *** !!
That's not right...but Ok, here are 5 for tonight (a hot summer night)...

Carney -- Leon Russell
Innervisions -- Stevie Wonder
My Name is Nobody soundtrack -- Ennio Morricone
Killer -- Alice Cooper
Why Can't We Be Friends -- War

It's a shame but I left off some really good "Best Of" albums and I had to leave off many artists who have songs that I think are the best of that decade...

:)

Someone's really into ELP.  :o

I always thought "Trilogy" was their best album. It was their last album before they became really popular. Sort of like Pink Floyd and "Dark Side of the Moon".

I am a huge ELP fan. When I was younger my brother had me listening to Foghat, then a friend
of mine said " Listen to this", It was Tank and I found my favorite group.

1970's ? These are all highly influential and important releases that, to many other bands, have "set the trend" so to speak (IMHO). That said, these are my "favorites" from the 1970's:

#1 = the last Iggy Pop recording with the Stooges- "Raw Power"
#2 = the first Clash release- "The Clash"
#3 = Lou Reed- "Transformer"
#4 = Ramones -"Ramones"
#5 = Violent Femmes first release titled "Violent Femmes" (featuring the ever timeless great songs "Kiss Off", "Blister In The Sun", and "Add it Up".)

Anyone agree with any one of these?

By the way, and also on my top list of favorite of releases, and, as previously mentioned by others on this thread, are XTC "Drums & Wires", ELP's "Tarkus" and "Trilogy", and Talking Heads first release "77". All origionally bought by myself on 33 RPM vinyl or 8-track tapes, replaced with cassettes, and finally, preserved on CD'S at the top of my present and always popular play stack of CD's!!

Rock on kids!!

No it doesn't.  Rumours was released in 1977 and "Little Lies" is on the album "Tango In The Night", released 10 years later.
